What upgrades do I need for better performance?
I would like to upgrade my pc for better performance.
I am/will be doing a LOT of video/audio editing.
Please if you are computer savvy, suggest a few upgrades i could do to improve the performance (speed etc)
What i have now is:
Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3
Its Pentium D CPU with 2.80GHz
and 3.50 RAM (maxed out)
I have only 1 hard sata II hard drive thats 250 gb
I dont know much about pc’s, but i was thinking on the following:
.extra hard drive just for the video editing software (Raptor?)
.water cooling upgrade?
are those good upgrades? and what else can i do?

my current video card is radeon x1300. do i really need an upgrade on that?
if so… if my facts are right.. is 8800 ultra the best one out there for the money now?
RAM will give you the biggest bang for the buck, Run Ccleaner to clean up your windows system.
