Sensitive tongue? any ideas?

I am experiencing something weird, my tongue has been sensitive for the past 3-4 days, it feels like I have burned it, but I haven’t had any hot drinks as I don’t drink too hot teas or coffees, I usually leave them to cool. And i feel the whole tongue sensitive, not just the tip, when it’s burned.
It feels most sensitive in the morning, and possibly I get use to it and don’t pay much attention during the day. It’s kind of like ‘fluffy’.

If you eat a lot of citrus it could be your problem possibly. Citric acid can cause a burn almost like you “scorched” your tongue on a hot drink. So if you over indulged in some citrus fruit that could be your problem.
